What Is Tested?
-Haemoglobin is a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen around the body. Iron, folate and vitamin B12 are all involved in haemoglobin production. Low haemoglobin levels can leave you feeling tired and short of breath.
-The thyroid gland produces thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) that are responsible for controlling the metabolic rate of the body. The production of thyroid hormones is controlled by another hormone called TSH. Low thyroid hormone and TSH levels can cause lethargy and tiredness.
- Vitamin D is an essential vitamin normally produced during sun exposure and plays an important role in maintaining your mental well-being. Low levels of Vitamin D has been linked to fatigue, lowered immunity and depression
