What Is Tested?

-High cholesterol levels place you at increased risk for heart disease and stroke.

-HbA1c (glycated haemoglobin) gives an indication of your average blood sugar levels over the last 3 months. It indicates your risk of having diabetes.

-The liver plays a vital role in storing nutrients and detoxifying the body. An unhealthy liver puts you at increased risk for chronic diseases such as heart disease.

-Iron, folate and Vitamin B12 are involved in the production of haemoglobin(which carries oxygen around body). Low levels of these nutrients can cause tiredness, shortness of breath and palpitations.

-Vitamin D is important for calcium absorption, mental well-being and immunological support. The main sources of vitamin D are sunlight and food, and is one of the commonest deficiencies in modern society due to our lack of adequate sun exposure.
